Decent one room apartments with friendly staff (though they are not English speaking so you will need a Thai friend), very clean and generally quiet if you stay on the upper floors. Several busses on the corner in front, can easily take the khlong boat from Phan Pha pier (near Democracy Monument) to major Bangkok destinations. A nice "kway tio" man right outside the door, open all night long.
